Nutrition & Testing Policy

Last updated: 25th July 2025

At GrindHaus, we care deeply about what goes into your jar — and what goes into your body. Every batch we make is crafted to deliver big on flavour, but also to meet the highest possible standards of safety, cleanliness, and nutritional accuracy.

This page explains how we handle nutritional data, product testing, and quality checks — because we believe you deserve nothing less than the truth, clearly told.

Lab Testing

All our finished products are periodically tested at Bureau Veritas, one of the world’s most respected independent testing and certification companies.

These tests cover:

Nutritional profile (macros and calorie content)

Moisture content

Shelf-life verification

Microbiological safety (Total Plate Count, yeast/mould, E. coli, etc.)

We do not cut corners — and we never skip safety.

How we handle nutrition information

Every product label and website description includes approximate nutritional values based on a combination of:

Ingredient-level analysis

Actual batch test results (periodically updated)

Formulation-level calculations verified by food professionals

You’ll find values for:

Energy (kcal)

Protein

Total fat and saturated fat

Trans fat (always 0 g)

Total carbohydrates

Sugars and added sugars

Dietary fiber

Salt (sodium equivalent)

All values are expressed per per 25 g serving, along with %RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) as per Indian FSSAI guidelines.

⚠️ Allergens

Allergen details are clearly listed on every label and in the product pages. Many of our products include:

Peanuts

Sesame seeds

Tree nuts (like hazelnuts)

Spices that may contain mustard or derivatives

Our facility handles these ingredients regularly. While we take hygiene seriously, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

✅ FSSAI Compliance

Every product is manufactured in a fully licensed FSSAI facility and follows the relevant codes for:

Food safety

Additive use (Appendix A)

Labelling (including declaration of allergens, nutrition panels, and claims)

Microbiological standards (Appendix B)

We do not use synthetic preservatives, flavour enhancers, or additives not permitted by FSSAI.

Shelf-Life Claims

Our shelf life is determined based on:

Moisture activity

Ingredient stability

Preservation techniques (such as roasting, lecithin-based emulsification, and airtight sealing)

Tested storage trials in real-world ambient conditions (25–35°C) and laboratory accelerated conditions at 45°C

Each product’s shelf life is clearly mentioned on the label and is based on both lab verification and actual usage data.

When and how we test

New batches are tested internally for consistency before every full-scale production run

External lab testing is done periodically — minimum once per product per quarter or whenever a new ingredient supplier is introduced

Shelf-life tests are done at multiple checkpoints (day 0, 3 months, 6 months, etc.)

We maintain full traceability of every batch, including ingredient sourcing, roasting records, grinding times, and packaging data.
